Transferred, again. This high school would be the third one you've transferred to. You never knew why, but you never felt like you belonged in the others, so you transferred here. You were a quiet, kind sort of person, easy to get along with for all intensive purposes. Standing outside first period's door, said period being Language Arts, you fight back a soft blush as you shyly push the door open and step inside, the teacher falling silent as you enter. She smiles and sets her papers down on her podium, clearing her throat as she strides over to your side, lightly taking you by the shoulders and presenting you to the class. "Class, today we have a new student who has transferred several times before, so I would like you all to make them feel comfortable here. This is a safe learning environment, and the rest of you would do well to display that." Your blush intensifies, you felt like a piece of art on display, the eyes of the classroom scanning your entire being. One of them stands out though, one student in particular kicking your heartrate into high gear.

In the back sat a mostly Black Fox with Cyan highlights running up and down his pointy, rigid ears, his paws a Deep Red in color as they slowly and sloppily sketch down today's notes. There was something about him that kept you from looking away, your cheeks hot from embarrassment. He looked, tired. This was first period, naturally everyone was on the sleepy side, yourself included, but he looked to be a different kind of tired. Not a bored tired, no, he looked...Exhausted. You're jolted from your thoughts as the teacher gives you a gentle pat on the back, her eyes soft as she motions for you to move forward. "Let's see...Ahh, why don't you sit in the back next to the student in the middle of the back-row?" Your eyes light up. You were going to sit next to the Fox!

You gulp softly as you clench your belongings close to your chest, making your way down the isle of students and seniors alike. All of them held judgmental looks, they all looked displeased to see you. But the Fox? He just held a loving smile with a tired, yet friendly look in his deep Hazel Brown eyes. With a soft thump you plant yourself in your chair, a subtle nervous shake to you. You never felt like this on your first day before...What was wrong with you? Maybe the change of scenery just unnerved you, that's all. "Today we'll be reading Orson Scott's Characters and Viewpoints. As per usual, each of you were given a copy at the beginning of the year, and I expect you to have them still." A few groans and growls flutter about as the students rummage through their bags, each on retrieving a Blue and Green handbook of varying quality. Your heart, stops.

"E-excuse me..." You raise your hand, the teacher casting a glance before stopping in her tracks. "Would anybody be willing to partner up with our new student? It will only be for today, the shipping of supplies is late, as always." Theres a very unpleasant silence as your left in a horrific state of panic. You JUST started, you couldn't let your grades go to pot so soon! You let out a worried whimper as you look all around for anybody willing to buddy up, when a copy of Characters and Viewpoints is gently placed on your desk, a Red furred paw letting it go. "I'll be your partner, no worries~" You gasp as you look down at the book before you, uncertainly tilting your head to the left to confirm if you weren't imagining this. Sure enough, there he was.

The Fox stands up, pushing his desk into yours with his strong arms, his fluffy tail wagging as he sits beside you. He smiles warmly as he reaches his paws out, delicately opening the book and placing a jagged Grey claw on the beginning of the paragraph the teacher was about to start reading. You can't help but smile goofily as his paw accidentally brushes against your knuckle. "It looks daunting, I know. Trust me, you'll get the hang of it." You stutter softly, choosing to only nod as you pull out your notebook and begin taking notes. You couldn't begin to explain why you were feeling like this, but sitting this close to him made you feel comfortable, safe, even. You were acting like such a weirdo right now...Though you try your best to focus on your academics, you find your eyes occasionally trailing back to the Fox beside you, your heart beating rapidly. God, you didn't even know his name! He was just some stranger, get back to work, dummy...

"I'm uhh, way behind, aren't I?" You whisper under your breath, his Hazel Brown eyes drifting shut momentarily as he holds his paw up to his mouth, yawning heavily. "Huh? No, not really...You missed a couple chapters, but they're mostly just tips. Like I said, you'll catch on~" Why was he so tired? From the way he spoke he sounded interested in the subject, but physically he looked so worn down. Your blushes return as you catch a glimpse of the inside of his mouth, his jagged fangs making you shudder, though thankfully he didn't seem to notice. He didn't have bad breath, and his body didn't smell particularly bad either. You could tell he didn't wear deodorant, but it didn't bother you that much. His messy Red and Black fur somehow held the look of wild perfection flawlessly...You return to your work, the Fox carefully flipping the pages for you as class went on.

As time went by he yawned another five times, but every time he would give you a reassuring smile, whispering a soft apology in your ear when he yawned too loudly. To your shock, you enjoyed it when he whispered to you...Good thing he couldn't read your mind~ Save for his yawns and occasional helpful advice, he didn't say too much, his mind probably elsewhere. Before you even knew it, first period comes to an end, the teacher setting her book down. "Tonight's assignment; What makes a good villain? Don't forget it, it's due to tomorrow." His ears perk up as his tail goes through a single flick of joy. "Awww yeah, NOW we're talking~ I LOVE a great villain! What about you?" He turns to face you as he tilts his head, packing his supplies up as he moves his desk back to it's original positon. His voice sounded...off. There wasn't anything mind-blowing about it, but when he spoke, it sounded a bit too deep for his age.

"I think a villain is only as good as the hero is..." His smile widens as he happily nods, his Purple nose twitching subtly. "Yeah, that's a good opinion! You need a strong, likeable protagonist to have a strong, likeable or hateable antagonist. I like your style...Keep that up, and I promise, you'll be on track in no time!" As he starts to walk away, you notice he left his book on your desk, but when you get up to stop him, he's already gone, lost in the crowd. You breath a sigh as you pick up the book, a feeling of regret starting to bubble up. Did he mean to leave it for you? Surely he didn't, he didn't know you...He was nice, but you were just a stranger, he'd probably forget about you after the first week. That's how it always went...

From first period Language Arts you move on to second period Geometry, the Geo-Teacher giving you a similar welcome and a similar handicap. This time, however, you find the Fox not present. Away from him now, you felt, different. You felt even more uncomfortable than when you first started today. Were you...falling in love? You sit down in char you were assigned to, listening intently to the teacher as you began second period. Now that he wasn't around, you knew you could focus on your work more efficiently, but a part of you felt...Incomplete. Regardless you continue on with your day, going from Geometry to Social Studies, and throughout the day, despite your best efforts to think about your grades and your work, your thoughts always worked their way back to that Fox.
You never caught his name, you were too shy ask...Maybe his book had his name in it? With Social Studies winding down and the teacher finishing a riveting speech about inflation in the economy, you half-heartedly reach into your bag and place the Green and Blue book on your desk, blushing as you start to reconsider.

It felt a little creepy to look for a guy's name like this...What if he had note cards neatly tucked away in the pages, and they come flooding out when you open it? What if his name isn't even in there? You take a deep breath as you place the book back in your bag, your head hanging low as you pack up shop and leave for lunch. Hopefully this school's lunch services were better than the last school's, though as you recall the consistency of that slop, the idea of something being worse befuddled you. The mindless chatter of a hundred students assaults your sense of hearing as you push open the twin doors of the cafeteria, the scent of the food pyramid faintly dancing about. You roll your shoulder as you reach into your pocket for your wallet, but that single moment of lost concentration is enough time for you to accidentally bump into another student.
"Sorry! I wasn't paying attention!" You say as fast as you can, but before you could finish the student turns to you, the bulky Lion snarling as he shoves you without remorse.

"Watch where you're going! Just because you're new doesn't mean I HAVE to be nice to you." Your whole world is thrown upside down as you hit the hard, freezing floor, pain lashing your back as your supplies are scattered all around you. The Lion stands over you, laughing throatily as you begun to tear up. You always were a bit of a crybaby, but that was something that made you, YOU. "Come on newbie, show me what you got!" His sharp claws dig into the collar of your shirt as his knee collides with your face, your ears ringing as tears began to streak down your face. But you wouldn't fight back, it was like you were paralyzed with fear...He shoves you back again as the rest of the cafeteria erupts in laughter, a bit of blood trickling down from your nose as you fully dissolve into a tremendous fit of tears.

Then, like a bolt from the blue, a shoed foot swings over you and smashes into the Lion's skull, the big cat dazed as he stumbles back. You yelp as someone rushes past you, your teary Red eyes wide with surprise. It was him! The Fox! Before the other student had a chance to recover from having his nose broken, the Fox charges in and pulls back both of his arms, slamming his fists into the Lion like a slingshot. The Fox yipes as he does, reeling back as the Lion is sent crashing to the ground with the wind punched out of him. Your protector nurses his left arm as he snarls furiously, and to your further bewilderment, a Frill bursts out of his neck fur! Like a sail it fully expands a foot long in every direction, the Fox's head hidden from behind. The ringing in your ears had dimmed down by now, your thoughts becoming clearer. On the floor, you had a perfect view of the Fox's body, your face ablaze with blushes as you admire his well-rounded butt. His tail, too...His tail had the floof of the Gods! The way it stuck out and flicked about in an angered fashion, the Dark Black fur contrasting yet blending with the long swirl of Crimson fur starting at the base of his tail and ending at the very tip, like a Candy Cane. He wasn't too tall either, standing at roughly six feet, though he was dwarfed by the seven foot five Lion he just toppled.

He and the Lion exchange threats as you further examine the Fox's body, your eyes finally moving on from his well-toned legs. You turn your attention back to his left arm, which, now that you really looked at it...you realized, it was dislocated, entirely. His arm just hung there limply as he takes a step back, his body covered in sweat. Somehow, this guy had the will power AND the tenacity to fight a larger and stronger opponent while having a dislocated arm...What a monster...Hey genius! Get out of there!

Without thinking you scramble to grab everything you dropped and took off like a bolt of lightning, your heart pounding with a thunderous beat. Run, just run, cheese it, go, escape! You barely knew him, he barely knew you! You catch a fleeting glance of the Lion being backed up by two other students, the three of them throwing down with the Fox, but there was nothing you could do. You ran, you ran like you always did. You ran from your problems, again. Tears uncontrollably slide down your cheeks as you soon leave the campus, but still you kept running. By the time you stopped being able to feel your legs you collapse on a park bench, your body aching and out of breath. You'd been running for at least an hour, and you felt every step...All of your belongings come tumbling out of your arms in a landslide of papers as you sit down on the bench, burying your head in your knees as you struggle to keep yourself together. "I-I left him...He protected me and I left him...I...O-oh God..."

Out of guilt you dry heave, your face sore from all of the crying. You lose yourself in your thoughts as you imagine the horrific beat down the poor guy was receiving now. You imagine his body bruised and bloodied, his face mangled with pain...Yet...A warm sensation slowly comes over you...You picture his smile from first period, his happy demeanor...The touch of his soft paw against your hand. His whispers in your ears...Why on earth were you feeling so...comfortable, when thinking about this Fox? Your mind was a blur with questions and guilt, and all you could do was cry...That was, until you heard someone approaching. You spread your knees, trembling as you peak through the opening between your knee caps...And there he was.

He doesn't say a word, his right cheek swollen with a dark bruise. A few scratches here or there and some blood from God only knows what injury had ruined his Blazer, but despite all odds, he looked all right. Not great, but you looked like a Train wreck ON A BOAT, so, you weren't one to discuss looks. "...I'm sorry...I shouldn't have...I didn't mean...I...I-I'll shut up now..." You return your head to your knees as you grind your teeth in anguish, your body overheating from the physical stress. Then, he sits down beside you, resting his right arm on the length of the bench, his right paw delicately rubbing your scalp.

You sob as you lift your head up slightly, sniffling as you miserably wipe your face with your hand. You're greeted by a smile and a happy wagging Fox tail, his Brown eyes overjoyed to see your face again. "Relax...I'm not mad...~" He stops stroking your head to bend down and carefully collect your stuff, his fluffy tail sweeping fallen leaves away from your important papers. "Gave me quite the scare, honestly...I thought I wouldn't see you again." "...What?" His smile becomes a toothy grin as he piles your supplies in your bag and lays his own bag beside it, resting his back against the bench as he drapes his right arm over you again. "We worked together this morning, remember? That makes us friends~" You whine like a newborn as your Foxy guardian tilts his head, his ears twitching. His face, though bruised, was so soft and innocent looking. THIS was his real voice, you suspected...This voice was far higher pitched, but more controlled. It was...cute, actually...The way he squeaked out his sentences...

"Can...What is your name? I-I've been meaning to ask...Before I forget, I have your book, from this morning..." He giggles, the adorable sound bringing a small smile to your face. "Keep it~ I'll just take the one they give you in the morning. Mine is in good shape, just don't mind the hairs...I shed, a lot...It's Collin." Collin reaches down with his right paw and pulls out a water bottle from his bag, placing it in your lap with a loving smile. "Here, you must be parched after that marathon you just ran..." You start to protest, but he shakes his head. "I insist. You need it more than me."

Somehow, you doubted that. Your smile grows as you say your thanks and take a drink, breathing a sigh of relief as the refreshing liquid seeps down your gullet and jumpstarts your body. You drink a good half of the bottle before setting it down by your feet, uncurling from your protective ball. "Collin, thats, with two L's?" "Yes, yes that's right. Nobody ever remembers that though. Not even my own family!" "Well...I'll remember it!" Seeing your energy returning makes him quite happy, as he too relaxes further. He was fairly plump, though seeing him lay back against the bench gave you a better view of his belly, which his torn up Blazer clung desperately to. Luckily he doesn't seem to mind you eyeing him up, but when you look to his left arm, he blushes softly, though with his Red furred cheeks, it was hard to tell. "So, you noticed?" "Y-yeah, its hard to miss...What happened? It wasn't like that before..."

Collin's blush darkens as he laughs sheepishly, his tail curling up like a Yo-Yo. "Its...It's dumb...You'll laugh if I tell you, trust me..." For once in your life you grow a bit of a spine, clenching your hands as you look him dead in the eyes. "I won't laugh, I promise! I want to know, I can help you...I, I can fix it! I took a lot of medical classes, but I always chickened out..."
The Fox's eyes soften as he looks back at you, sighing softly as he shakes his head. "All right, all right...But you promised, so you BETTER not break that!" You nod with mounting confidence, your tears all but dried up. Being around Collin made you happy, a special kind of happy...He made you feel safe, and wanted. The least you could do, so you thought, was to help him fix his dislocated arm. First, though, you needed to hear how it was dislocated in the first place.

"Ok...So, to start things off, I have Insomnia." That explains why he looked so tired in first period..."The last couple months, I've been using this thing called ASMR to help me sleep. It stands for, uhh, something...Autonomous Systematic Mariner's Response? I, think? It doesn't matter...Point is, I use ASMR to help me sleep when I get hit with Insomnia, and about two-ish months ago, I listened to this one ASMR video. The premise of the video was about this buff guy who was a boyfriend of the listener, the listener was left genderless, much to my delight~ But uhh, the video was about this guy who just defended his lover from an ex-boyfriend and his friends. When I finished the video, something came over me. I felt...well, I felt like I wasn't enough. I felt like I needed to become stronger, so that one day, when I find that special somebody, I could protect them...I've been doing extreme workouts ever since, and uhh...Well...I have a tendency to push myself too hard sometimes."

His arm became dislocated, because he was building himself up to protect the one he loved...Your poor heart could barely handle how romantic this Fox was! What a guy...A modern day knight of chivalry~ Feelings you never knew you had flourished within you, a deep blush on your face as you sheepishly clear your throat. "W-wow...Collin, that's...That's so sweet of you...Th-thats how you pulled it out of joint? By overexertion?" Collin only nods, flexing his right arm to show you the results, and results they were. "I want to become monstrous. I, I'm not the most intelligent guy ever, and I'm not the most mature guy either...But despite all of my flaws, I'll be my future love's shield...Now, uhh...C-can you, help me? It doesn't hurt, right?"

You shake yourself from your smitten state, getting up and standing in front of him, blushing darkly as you take his left arm in your hands. No painkillers, no ice, and no sling...Yikes. "It'll hurt, yeah...Why didn't you go to the Nurse's Office when it happened?" You give him something to talk about to reduce his concentration, hoping to dull the poor guy's pain, though the way his ears droop as he looks up at you with sad, pained eyes, you felt like you were helping a sick, kicked puppy dog. You tighten your grip as hard as you can and begin to pull his left arm, everything going well, at first. Collin grimaces as he bares his fangs, but remains still. His arms were quite long, so you had to apply further force. "I was on my way to the Nurse's Office, but then I saw you on the floor through the Cafeteria's windows...I...W-well, when I saw you crying, I couldn't stop myself from coming to the rescue."

The two of you share a beautiful, silent moment, your eyes looking back into his, both of you smiling...Until you hear a clunk like sound. The Fox's jaws open up with a frenzied grunt as he convulses, his eyes shutting tight as you fix his arm. The sudden jolt of his was enough to knock you off balance, your world going head over heels for a second time today. But you don't hit the ground! Instead, the Fox's arms launch forward and wrap around your waist, yanking you into his body with a yelp. You keep your eyes closed as firmly as they could go, whimpering as your mind slowly takes in what just happened. Its only the soft, loving touch of Collin's paws against your back that coax you into opening your eyes.

He blushes as his Hazel Brown eyes look down into your own eyes, his tail shyly wagging between your legs. His muzzle was just inches from your lips...Would they feel soft, or maybe smooth? Your mind was wandering again, by now you'd just given into these feelings. You were in love...You'd found love at first sight...You don't say anything, your tears starting to well up again. His mitten-like paws continue massaging your back, a smile slowly sliding across his muzzle. "I've got you...If you want to say something...Nows the time..."

Thump, thump, thump, thump, thump, thump...

His heart sounded so soothing in your ears...You weren't even resting your ears on his chest, but you were so close you could hear his Vulpine heart beating righteously. Your hands had fallen against his shoulders, and as you look deep into his eyes, you gently slide your hands up from his shoulders to around his neck. Your hands brush against dull spikes nestled in his neck fur, which you assumed were apart of his odd Frill from earlier, but you didn't care. You had no more questions..."Collin...I love you...We only met this morning, but I love you...I can't explain these feelings, and, I don't want to...I'm tired of crying alone...I'm done running..." With that, you press your body against his, passionately pushing your lips against his.

They felt so, so soft...You whisper a moan as you kiss him lovingly without holding back, massaging his neck with your fingertips. He too starts to kiss back, growling pleasurably in your ears as his paws slide under your shirt, his velvety paws sliding up and down your back, his tail wrapping around yours. His Black and Cyan ears lay flat as low, pleased purrs rumble about in his chest, his Purple nose affectionately rubbing against your nose. You lose yourself in the love and kindness you two shared, your heartrate skyrocketing. After what seemed like an eternity of kissing, you two break away, your faces hot with blushes.

Silent, you two just smile back at each other, your hearts beating in unison. "...I love you too...~" Your tears make a comeback, but his paws endearingly rub away any that dare roll down and ruin your beautiful face, his Hazel Brown eyes soft with love. You lay your head on his chest, crying tears of joy into your new boyfriend's paws. "Hey..." "Yeah?" "Would you, like to walk home with me? I'm, a little scared to walk home alone..." Collin's ears lay back as he gently rubs his moist nose from side to side against your scalp, kissing your head gently. "I would love to...Just, let me catch my breath~"

"What, after just one kiss?"

"Hehe...Yeah...Something like that...~"
This and the next two pieces were inspired by Fanfiction I recently read, as well as a dare I been challenged to the other day~ Let me explain...
Yesterday I received a message from an off-DA friend of mine who likes viewing Deviant Art's many pieces of work, but doesn't have an account herself. When she saw and read the pieces of Fanfiction I favorited the other day, she sent me a message daring me to write a piece about myself. If you weren't aware, I take my honor seriously, so of course I accepted~ I accepted on the terms that I would write one about me, one about her, and one about another friend, so, get ready for lots of romance~

This was just incredible!
